An Enhanced Tilted-Angle Acoustofluidic Chip for Cancer Cell Manipulation

In recent years, surface acoustic wave (SAW) devices have demonstrated great potentials and increasing applications in the manipulation of nano- micro-particles including biological cells with advantages label-free, high sensitivity accuracy. this letter, we introduce a novel tilted-angle SAW to optimise pressure inside microchannel for cancer-cell manipulation. The generation radiation force are improved by seamlessly patterning electrodes space surrounding microchannel. Comparisons between device conventional show 32% enhanced separation efficiency while input power, manufacturing cost fabrication effort remain same. Effective HeLa cancer from peripheral blood mononuclear is demonstrated. This has minimizing power consumption, lowering component footprint density.
